ProShares UltraShort 20+ Year Treasury ETF
The ProShares UltraShort 20+ Year Treasury (TBT) ETF aims to deliver twice the inverse (negative) daily performance of the Barclays Capital 20+ Year U.S. Treasury Index before fees, expenses and interest income. In essence, the TBT ETF is considered a short bond etf and more precisely a short treasury ETF particularly for investors seeking to short longer term treasury bonds as the index that the TBT exchange traded fund is benchmarked (negatively) against is comprised of 20+ year treasury bonds. However, due to the compounding of daily returns it is important to note that returns for periods spanning considerably longer than one day the TBT ETF will exhibit material tracking error of its benchmark.
